Legislature Gets Ready To Reap Revenue From Marijuana Legalization

Olympia, Wash.  (Metro)  -- State lawmakers are getting ready to get new revenue from Washington's partial legalization of marijuana.

"The Olympian" says 28 House members have signed on to a proposal that would put as much as $182 million in marijuana taxes-per-year toward a big expansion of publicly-funded preschool for needy kids.

Supporters cite a study that says kids without preschool are more likely to use marijuana as adults.
