Nooksack Bridge at Slater Road Closed for Several Weeks

Ferndale, WA -- If you're planning on taking the Nooksack River Bridge on Slater Road anytime soon, think again.

Whatcom County Public Works officials are cautioning drivers that the bridge, which was severely damaged by a truck carrying an over-height load Saturday morning, will be under repair for at least several weeks.

Whatcom County Engineer and Assistant Publics Works Director Joe Rutan says detours are in place.
Detailed route information is available on the Whatcom County web site.
